Enterprise SOA Showcase

Q-ImPrESS has released the first version of its Enterprise SOA Showcase. The E-SOA Showcase is a non-trivial service oriented system, which allows the public demonstration of the Q-ImPrESS methods and tools once they are released. The showcase is a set of exemplary applications from the domain of order and supply chain management.

The showcase applications are available individually as deployable packages for the Apache Tomcat Java Servlet container. It is also available as a ready-to-use virtual machine for VMware. Please refer to the installation guides contained within each package for setup instructions.

Individual Application Packages (last update: Dec. 20th, 2010)

• The CRM Simulator simulates a web-based application for Customer Relationship Management.
• The PDM Simulator simulates a web-based application for Product Data Management.
• The Pricing Simulator simulates a web-based application for product and shipment pricing.
• The Inventory Simulator simulates the availability of the processed products within a warehouse stock.
• The Order Simulator generates orders for the order and supply chain management system, thus simulating a healthy IT Enterprise.
• The Shipment Simulator simulates (partial) shipments for the orders generated by the Order Simulator, thus completing the order and supply chain management process.
• The Simulation Manager manages the execution of the Order and Shipment Simulators. The Simulation may be started and stopped from this application.
• The Demo Application demonstrates a simple client which queries the system for a price corresponding to a specific order.
• The Google Android CRM client is a mobile client for the CRM Simulator, which makes the information from the CRM Simulator available for Sales Personnel.

This archive contains the sourcecode of the Enterprise SOA Showcase including the models and results of the performed analysis.

VMware Virtual Machine (last update: Dec. 20th, 2010)

This distribution contains all of the above applications packaged within a VMware virtual machine image. Please unpack the distribution using the 7-Zip file archiver. The execution of the virtual machine requires the installation of VMware Player for Windows or Linux systems, or VMware Fusion for Intel-based Macs.
